Spring rain and grey skies
Morning, neighbour. It's one of those classic Coast days—overcast and cool, but you can feel the season shifting underneath. The cherry blossoms are pushing through despite the cloud cover, and the longer light means you've got good hours to get outside if you need to. A light jacket will do the trick.
If you've got peas or lettuce seeds ready to go, today's a good one to get them in the ground. The soil's starting to warm up, and we're past the worst of the frost risk. And if you're down by the water this weekend, keep an eye out for the eagles—they're especially active around now with the herring run bringing all kinds of life back to the Strait.
